The company was founded in 1937 under the name Schleicher Relais Werke. In 1976 they developed a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and an NC (Numerical Control) in 1983.
In 2023, the company took over Wieland Electric Schleicher. Wieland Electric deals with automation products. Afterwards the company was sold to the investment company Aurelius AG in 2007. In 2013, Aurelius AG sold the company to the contractor Sven Dübbers.
