Fanuc was founded in 1958 in Fujitsu and manufactures automation products especially for industry. The founder Dr. Seiuemon Inaba invented numerical control, NC, which they have been working with since 1955.

In 2024, the Japanese company had over 8,200 employees worldwide. Their factories are located in Japan in Mibu, Tsukuba and Hayato, where they produce and assemble their products.
